KS 3 and 4 Tennis
Following the non-rated players' events that will take place in June, there will be two rated players' events during the Festival. There will also be a RAW Tennis event, the winners of which will have the opportunity to progress onto an inter-partnership final.
Years 7 and 8 Tournament - Thursday 5th July. The tournament is open to players rated up to 9.1. It will begin at 13.30 and finish at 17.00. The tournament will take place either at the B&H City Tennis Club or at Preston LTC, depending upon numbers. Schools may enter teams of 4 - comprising of 2 girls and 2 boys. Schools may enter more than one team if they wish to.
Years 9 and 10 Tournament - Thursday 12th July. This tournament is also open to players rated up to 9.1 and will take the same format as above, also starting at 13.30 and finishing at 17.00.
Years 7 and 8 RAW Tennis Festival - 30th June. Encorporating skills sessions and competitions, this event is somewhat different from the tournaments above, and is open to non-rated players only. It is not necessary that schools have a member of staff at the event, as long as pupils are able to make their own way there and back and to look after themselves during the event. This event will also take place either at the B&H City Tennis Club or at Preston LTC, beginning at 10.00 and finishing at 15.00. Schools may enter teams of 4 - comprising of 2 girls and 2 boys. Schools may enter more than one team if they wish to.
Years 7 and 8 RAW Tennis Inter-partnership Final - 14th July. The winning team from the Brighton and Hove event above will have the opportunity to progress through to this inter-partnership final. A venue and time are yet to be confirmed.
